Summer Newsletter

As you get ready for school to be out for summer (YAY!), we would like to bring the following to your attention.

  • You are still responsible for the care of your home, including any maintenance items, exterior clean up and keeping it secure while you are away.
  • DO NOT turn off your HVAC units, this could cause mold and/or mildew. You can turn the temperature up to 78 degrees max on your AC to save power. Be sure to change your air filters before you leave, or your unit can freeze up
  • No subletting allowed
  • Have a friend check on your house if you are away for an extended period of time
  • Make sure your toilet is not running water before you leave for a few days
  • Put mail on hold or have a friend pick it up if everyone is gone more than 4 days
  • Check your smoke/CO detector batteries
  • Be sure  to lock all doors and windows
  • Close curtains and blinds
  • Have someone take your trash to the curb and bring it back up
  • You will be responsible for any charges that are due to negligence of your home.
  • Inform management if the house will be vacant for more than 7 days
  • Most of all have a safe and enjoyable summer

If your lease ends in July:

  • We will be in contact with you at the beginning of July to schedule preliminary inspections and to help you through this process. It is your responsibility to keep your utilities on till the end of your lease and pay rent through July.  Please take a moment and review your lease.
  • If you are moving out- schedule your carpet cleaners NOW they get booked up. Per your lease if you have carpet you must submit a receipt from a professional carpet cleaner.
  • If you plan to have a cleaning service now is a good time to shop for one. Remember to give them the cleaning checklist in your lease and check their work before paying them.

Graduating tenants:

Congratulations to those of you that will graduate this summer or graduated this semester! We are super excited for you and wish you the best in your endeavors!
